She holds a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master's degree in Counseling from The University of Miami, and B.A. in Psychology from The University of Virginia.
She completed an APA accredited Internship and Postdoctoral training at the Phoenix VA Medical Center, with an emphasis in Health Psychology. She then went on to work as a psychologist in the VA healthcare system, working with military veterans.
She has an elite-level athletic background, as a student athlete in college and experience competing and training with the United States National Rowing Team. She has completed numerous marathons and ultramarathons.
